In the context of the competition task we have tried to find a way of solving Roma problems – especially the living conditions in one of the shantytowns in the urban area of Ljubljana in Slovenia. Roma’s living space has constantly been changing and has never been finalized. This is why the main idea of the proposed concept permits flexibility of the housing typology and the same concept is used while defining the facade. It is a reinterpretation of the existing composition, which reflects the cultural colorfulness of the Roma community and it is a sort of a collage of different materials used.
